The future of Golf in Lanzarote is looking very good indeed!

There are a number of new golf courses under construction in Lanzarote one being the course at Puerto del Carmen.

Puerto del Carmen Golf Course

This will be the most advanced of the courses on the island and is located just outside of Puerto del Carmen on the main road to Tias. Designed by Ron Kirby, previous partner of Jack Nicholas, the course statistics are as follows: Course length 6,040 meters Par 72 Par 3’s between 145m - 160m Par 4’s between 307m - 430m Par 5’s between 435m - 465m

Puerto Calero Golf

Is the next closest to Puerto del Carmen and plans for construction have been submitted for the course to be located near the luxury marina.

Golf at Montaña Roja, Playa Blanca

Another course has now started construction in the resort of Playa Blanca in the South of Lanzarote.

Costa Teguise Golf Course

Opened in 1978 this course was the first on the island and has beautiful surroundings set at the bottom an inactive volcano. A championship course that offers the golfer a good standard with nice surroundings.

Golf is definately on the up in Lanzarote and will offer some great courses once construction has finished. Offering a good all year round Golfing alternative to popular destinations like Portugal.

Puerto del Carmen’s Golf course, now under construction.
